" Colchester's Under 12s took two mixed teams to Sudbury and only narrowly missed out on a clean sheet as they recorded a maximum 4 wins out of 4, conceding just one try along the way and scoring an amazing 25!
 
The Gladiators made a slow start to their first match, and conceded a try to a well organised host team in the opening half. Unlucky to have a couple of touchdowns disallowed, Colchester then scored through Rhys Smith and Alex Godley and finished the match 10-5 victors. The near defeat was enough to get the visitors firing on all cylinders for the next game. The forwards enjoyed some early dominance, though tries from pack leader and man of the match Smith and second row Jordan Milburn. Godley then showed great running ability as from fly half he ran in 3 further tries. Conversions from Smith (2) Godley (1) and scrum half Chris Goate (2) meant the Gladiators romped home 35-0 winners.
 
Meanwhile, the Centurions showed no mercy to their hosts as they scored 19 unanswered tries in their two games. In the first match the forwards provided a stable platform throughout, and backs leader Tom Hunt opened the scoring in the first minute, closely followed by Dan Hughes, Robert Parry and James Hoddell with 2. After the half time break, James Pattis, scrum half and man of the match Gareth Pugh and 2 more from Hoddell saw the final score to 57-0 (conversions from Pugh (3) and Pattis (3) ) In the second match, there were 5 tries for Colchester in each half, with touch downs from Hoddell (3) Zac Puckey (2) and Louis Bettis, Hughes, Parry, Pugh and Ben Bouckley. Conversions from Pugh (4) Hughes, Bouckley, and Puckey (2) meant that the Centurions were runaway 66-0 winners. "
