Colchester earned, in the end, a comfortable victory against Diss in their latest Eastern Counties Cup fixture in a hard fought and occasionally niggly game at Mill Road. A 12-0 half-time lead (tries by wingers James Patis and Craig Doran) was followed up by second half scores from flankers Matt Hexley and Sam Lines, with second row Henry Knoyle-Hughes also contributing to the try count. The spirited Diss side earned their reward with the last try of the game to leave the final score at 31-7 to the home side.
