The 1st XV travelled to Hertfordshire on Saturday to face Letchworth in what would be one of the toughest tests of the season, fortunately they managed to keep their promotion push on track with a 22-18 victory obtaining a bonus point to maintain a 2 point lead in London 1 North. Letchworth 18 - 22 Colchester 1st XV

The Ravens hosted Felixstowe in match which saw league leaders take on the 9th placed side, with Colchester Ravens averaging 90+ points per game, it didn't look good for Felixstowe. But to give credit where credit is due Felixstowe turned up, supporters in tow out numbering Colchester 2/1 and gave it their all. Felixstowe had a couple of chances which almost led to tries, only being denied a few meters from the line, a penalty 10m into the Colchester half was the visitors only attempt at goal but unfortunately the attempt fell just short.

Colchester Ravens 109 - 0 Felixstowe

The A XV travelled to second place side Sudbury 2 who were a group of well drilled whippersnappers who clearly trained with the 1st team with a bolt of lightning for a winger. The loss leaves both teams joint on 51 points at the top of the table sharing a win a piece in their respective home games against each other, Colchester A XV just ahead with a 52 point advantage over Sudbury 2's.

Despite the reported score line of 10-35 loss at home to Ipswich YM 3, the actual score was 10-5 to Colchester Cavaliers, this has now been confirmed by the league following receipt of all signed match cards, the website will be amended shortly.
