Another great weekend of rugby awaits, with 4 senior games and the Youth & Mini section in full swing, there’s plenty going on at Colchester RFC...

SATURDAY 3rd October:

The 1st XV are away at Wimbledon this weekend, with an early kick off to accommodate the RWC- 2pm. Wimbledon are also on a high after their first win this season so both teams will be equally hungry for their next victory. As always we will be live tweeting the match score by score over on our Twitter page @ColchesterRFC so be sure to look out for that. There will also be highlights on our Snapchat account: colchesterrugby where you’ll be able to see the best bits of the game as it happens.

The 2nd XV, are also away against a strong Cambridge side. The Raven’s look to learn from last weekend’s defeat as they search for a first win in the tough new Zoo League. It’s looking to be a great fixture, and if you’re travelling over to watch, kick off is at 1pm.

The 3rd XV, A's can approach their away game against Sudbury Talbots off the back of another great win. The short trip to Sudbury will be well worth it as this fixture is always an exciting one. Kick off is at 2pm.

The 4th XV, Cavaliers are our only team playing at home as they face Stowmarket 3. Kick off a Mill Rd is 3pm however the bar will be open from 1pm. *CANCELLED*

The 5th XV, Roundheads hope to build on last week's victory as they play away against Mistley 2s, kick off 2pm

For those who can’t make it to the games this weekend why not tweet your encouragement to our players by using #ComeOnCol Every bit of support helps!

Look out for the results which will be posted on our website by 6pm Saturday evening.

At Mill Road we will be showing all the RWC games beginning with Samoa vs Japan which starts at 2.30pm, followed by South Africa vs. Scotland and of course the big one; England up against Australia. The bar will be open for you to come and enjoy the match with friends. Special drink deals this week include a bottle of house wine for only £5 when you spend £20, with more to be announced soon.

SUNDAY 4th October:

Another busy weekend as both the Youth Section and Mini Section are in action.

With three teams playing at home: U15 As face Brentwood, U13 As against Diss both kicking off at 10.45am and the Colts play Braintree kicking off later, at 12pm, be sure to to get down to Mill Rd to cheer on the teams as they play their first full 15 match of the new season. All other Youth teams are playing away, details of which can be found on the website.

There is lots of excitement in the Mini section as they play their first games of the season- especially for the U9s as they look towards their first ever contact game, well worth a watch.
