The A XV battle it out for promotion in the final senior game of the season and we need YOU for support!

Unbeaten A XV promotion game tomorrow!

It's been confirmed- our unbeaten A XV WILL have to compete for their spot in Eastern Counties 1 against local rivals Harwich & Dovercourt.

These 2 teams have some history; this season Colchester A XV are the ONLY team to beat H&D in the league so far and we're certain they can do it again.

However, we need YOU to help them to victory. Having a home crowd cheer them on makes ALL the difference to our players and this game is by far the most important game of the season so you're needed more than ever.

Please join us at 3pm for the kick off on Pitch 2 for what will be an exciting game of rugby- and a glorious moment when our boys earn their promotion!

As it's such a beautiful day forecast we're putting on a special outside bar with local lager, bottled ciders and beers and fresh Pimms for you to enjoy pitchside. Refresh yourself without taking your eyes off of the rugby!

The weather is expected to be divine so bring your pals along too- the more the merrier!

Sun, rugby and beer- what more could one wish for?

If you can't make it we will be live tweeting the score from our Twitter @ColchesterRFC and we'll have all the highlights on our club snapchat: colchesterrugby so you won't miss out (although you kind of will, because no amount of technology can recreate that amazing Mill road atmosphere!)

Community Day with St Helena Hospice roaring success!

Thank you to all of you who joined us for our Community Fun Day in aid of St Helena Hospice.

The event saw businesses from across Colchester set up shop on our pitch donating takings to local charity St Helena Hospice. The day included sporting and family-friendly activities and we saw performances by HRC All Stars Cheerleaders, Ilaz Dance and Taylor's Dance company, alongside Funky Voices Community Choir who gave a crowd pleasing performance with a mix of new and classic music!

We also saw our women's touch team Boudicca Belles take on their male counterparts and come off on top, beating them 9 tries to 7! This was shortly followed by our Players vs Coaches game where our some of our 1st XV, Ravens and A XV played out of position which was cause for a laugh, Matt Wadling playing 8 and KP at fullback were some of the highlights!

We're still in the process of counting all the money raised but it looks as if we're on our way to raising £8,000 for St Helena Hospice! You can see all the photos from the day on our website here.

This is a huge amount of money for a brilliant cause so thank you to all who attended and we can't wait to see you next year to raise even more money!

Natwest Rugbyforce needs YOU

It's that time of year again when we ask you to give a hand freshening up the clubhouse.

Whether you're a skilled tradesman or an unskilled volunteer your club needs you whatever your age!

If you're free on Saturday 25th June and/or Sunday 26th June we'd love you to get involved and help us spruce up the clubhouse in time for the start of the new season.

Use your DIY skills (or not!) for a couple of hours or a couple of days -whatever time you can spare will be greatly appreciated. Whether it's picking up a paintbrush or helping with the food and drink we'd love as many of you as possible to give us a hand.

To entice you to join in there's a barbecue with food and drink on both days plus we'll be showing the Australia v England match at 11am on the Saturday.

For a list of the projects we'll be taking on and all the details on how to get involved head to our website here.

Two of our players are taking part in the Ultra White Collar Boxing Challenge in aid of Cancer Research- getting beaten up to raise money for this great cause. You can find Iain and James' fundraising pages by clicking on their names where you can read all about why they're taking part. Any money you can donate will be very much appreciated. We'll have more info about the boy's progress on the website soon so keep an eye out for that!

We have just received news that there are a few tickets left for our Summer Ball on the 2nd of June. We have 1 table of 10 available and a few extra seats on other tables. If you're interested in coming along, get in touch here quickly as they are sure to sell quickly. All details on the event can be found here.

As the season comes to an end, we will now be sending out Raven Mad once a month to keep you updated with everything going on at the club until we get back into the season in September. In the meantime however, we'll still be posting on our website and on all our social media outlets so be sure to keep a look out!

Here at CRFC we've got a wealth of online outlets filled with great content, so make sure you check out our websiteFacebookTwitterInstagramYoutube and Snapchat: colchesterrugby.

See you tomorrow for our A XV's final!
