Final game of the season for our 1st XV, but fear not, there's plenty more rugby to come your way yet!

1st XV focused for final flourish at Gravesend

Our 1st XV travel to Gravesend RFC this weekend for their final game of the season. Gravesend were the first team Colchester played in National League 3 and the home side were so close to starting the season with a win. Now sitting comfortably at 9th place in the league Colchester travel to Kent intent on finishing with a victory.

With the momentum from the Guernsey win and after another intense week of training the players are raring to go and as always we'll be there too, live tweeting and snapchatting the game as it happens, so make sure you're following us on Twitter @ColchesterRFC and on snapchat @colchesterrugby all kicking off at 3pm.

If you can't make it to the game why not tweet your encouragement to our boys using #ComeOnCol- every bit of support helps!

Sevens season starts for our Youth section

After their close defeat in the Eastern Counties Plate Final the Colts Development are back in action away at Stowmarket alongside our Colts Academy as they all compete in the Eastern Counties Sevens Tournament at 10.30am.

We host the Suffolk Development Festival with 2 phases being played at Colchester. The U15 Bs will play Stowmarket, Hadleigh and Harwich. Our U14 Bs side also play in the festival at Colchester as they go up against Stowmarket and Hadleigh, both these development festivals start at 11.30am.

All our other Youth sides are travelling to their games this weekend, all details of which are on the website.

Throwback Thursday

We've dug out and old photo of the presentation of shirts to CRFC U17s on 5 September 1993.

At the time their coach was Clive Frampton but we don't have any records to say who's who, so we need your help!

Head over to the website and see if you can help us fill in the blanks. Recognise someone? Email us here and we'll add them to our records.

If you've got any photos from days gone by at CRFC we'd love to see them, send them our way here and if we use your picture we'll send some CRFC goodies your way.

Unbeaten A XV in league play off 30th May

Despite being told they had secured promotion our unbeaten A XV are now back at the club training for their play off game against Bury St Edmunds on Saturday 30th May. Luckily it is a home game so get yourself down to Mill Road and give our boys the support they truly deserve.

Unlike our A XV, Bury St Edmunds III have been beaten in their league so we're hoping this means our boys have the upper hand, however there's only one way to find out. With no other home games that weekend we hope to see you at Mill Road for the 3pm kick off! #ComeOnCol!

1st XV victory against Guernsey Raiders

Our 1st XV defied the odds by beating 6th place Guernsey last weekend in a huge team performance. In what many thought was the best defensive performance Colchester had displayed this season, the boys in black kept Guernsey out long enough to ensure the Islanders flew back without a win under their belts. You can read the full match report from the game and check out Nick Flexman's brilliant photos here.

Four great tries gave Colchester the extra points which put them ahead, all four can now be seen on our YouTube channel, so click here to be taken over and feast your eyes on some amazing tries.
