May I thank the U11s for managing Parking yesterday – they did a superb job in quite difficult circumstances.
We had a very busy day – with the whole of the Mini section Coaching at home, and 6 home matches for the older boys.
As a club, it seems that we overlooked asking some of the age groups to park at Rapid.
Consequently, we needed to “manage” the gate.
99% of parents were very happy to go to Rapid, and understood the situation – very many thanks to so many for your cheerful co-operation.
Unfortunately, there is still 1% of our membership who are unhelpful, want to query or comment on the situation, or simply refuse to do what is asked.
The gate is a very pressurised situation, and the stewards are members who have volunteered – may we ask that ALL parents please just do as asked.
Car Parking on Sundays has become one of the club’s biggest issues – it would help us all if parents could try to understand the situation, and try to help by knowing the location of Rapid, to car share if possible, and to use their smallest car (if and where there is a choice).
