Dave Wright will be taking part in Ride London-Surrey 100 to raise funds for the RFU Injured Players Foundation which looks after rugby players at all

Dear members for those who don't know me I am David Wright a member of Colchester RFC since 1969 where I have been captain and President, prior to this I played rugby in the army and I have been a fully pledged member of the rugby family for 55 years. On the 2nd August 2015 I will be taking part in Ride London-Surrey 100 to raise funds for the RFU Injured Players Foundation which looks after rugby players at all levels should one sustain a catastrophic injury. If you would like to find out more about the IPF’s work please do have a look at their website www.rfuipf.org.uk.
We, the rugby family raise millions every year for charities either as clubs or individuals, as we Colchester RFC and I do. This season is a very special one for the RFU as it prepares to host the Rugby World Cup. I felt it would be a good opportunity to raise much needed funds for our very own charity the IPF.
I know as I have stated above that we are all involved with raising money for good causes, but I'm not going to ask you to dig deep, unless of course you wish to. What I am going to suggest is that if all members were to donate just £1 each what a fantastic amount for our very own charity. Please be on that bike with me by making a donation. http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/DAVIDWRIGHTCRFC
