Update: New clubhouse

Dear All,

This week we are focusing on THE MOVE - I expect like me you may have felt it may never happen!!

On Monday 19th April at the Executive Committee meeting, we will be deciding on a date - probably a weekend - when everything will be packed up at Mill Road and the move will begin. Claire & Dawn have already done a great job in packing up the bar and kitchen but there is still loads to do - YES you know what’s coming next… as soon as the date is set we would like as many volunteers as possible to come along and be part of the excitement in moving to the Northern Approach to start the next phase in the life of this great Club.

Next week we will also be able to give more details about how parking for members at the new club, will operate. Watch this space!!

When Government regulations allow we will also arrange for tours of the new facilities - this will hopefully be in mid-May.

Once the move happens we will be installing the wall of bricks purchased by members and friends of the Club  - more about this from Kim…

With the imminent move across the road to our new home, we are in the process of ordering the named bricks for which we have been taking orders. We are super excited to see the finished wall inside the clubhouse. If you haven’t ordered one now is a good time, they cost £50 each, you can have 2 lines with a maximum of 13 letters on each one.

To order contact Kim

Whether you buy a brick for your child, who will love seeing his/her name on our Wall of Fame, or for yourself - you can show your children or grandchild later in life, it is a fantastic opportunity to be a permanent part of the club's history for years to come. And of course, it is a great way to help give the much-needed support our club always needs.

Don’t forget the AGM! This is your opportunity to let us have your ideas and comments about the Club -  if you would like to attend please contact our Hon. Sec. Kim to book your place. kim@amnesiaflowers.com.

Finally, I owe a huge apology to Emma Goate, who volunteers with her sister, Zoe, to run our Women’s Team. I mistakenly called her Gemma, not just once, but twice!! Many apologies, Emma.

More exciting news on the move next week - in the meantime have a great week and stay safe.

Maggie
